We’re excited to announce the partnership of Chittum and @TheShipsChandler! To kick it off we are hosting a demo and happy hour at @thebaysouthwalton starting at noon 12/14.
Growing up in Destin, FL, Peter Wright’s love of fishing quickly grew from passion into full time job, when he moved to South Florida after high school in 1976. That’s where he met some of his great friends today in Hal Chittum, John Kipp, Alex Adler, Skip Smith, and many others. Eventually he made his way back to Destin and opened The Ships Chandler with his father, Bill, in 1980. Since then, he, along with his son Peter Wright Jr, have turned a small tackle shop, into what it is today. They now have two locations, one in Destin and one in Freeport, FL. Whether it be guiding, tackle store, boat dealership, marine service center, restoration shop; everything revolves around a passion for fishing, which couldn’t be more aligned with the mission at Chittum.
This partnership means Chittum skiffs will now be available through The Ships Chandler’s, making it easier for anglers in the northern Gulf to access the best in flats skiffs. With their legendary reputation for taking care of customers and deep ties to the fishing community, we couldn’t ask for a better partnership.
