
Eric Holstman is a world class professional angler on the Redfish Cup. He is the former television host of the popular fishing show “Sportsman’s Challenge” on ESPN2 and The Outdoor Channel. He has also been a special guest on many other fishing shows over the past five years. In 2006, he ended the Redfish Cup regular season as the #6 Team of the Year angler and competed in the prestigious Redfish Cup Championship in Morehead City, NC. All together, he has qualified for seven professional redfish tour championships and has placed in the Top 10 of regular season events twelve times. In 2008, Eric appeared in the National Berkley Saltwater Commercial and campaign filmed in Cedar Key, FL.
He is also the creator/co-host of the “Hook, Line and Sinker Seminar Series”, the largest and most successful seminar of the Gulf Coast. Eric also writes many columns in the Pensacola News Journals, “Hook, Line and Sinker” as well as many other magazines, web blogs and popular publications. Recently, Eric has joined the Berkley Saltwater Seminar Tour. Throughout the year, Eric performs many other seminars at regional boat shows, fishing clubs, Bass Pro Shops and local fishing tournaments. He is also very involved in the local fishing community, organizations and charities, offering his time, services and knowledge whenever possible.
He is a well-liked and well-respected angler in the world of saltwater angling. Eric feels incredibly fortunate to proudly represent some of the largest and most recognizable companies on the planet. He is currently a Pro Staff Angler for Yamaha Outboards, Maverick Boat Company, Berkley Fishing(Gulp!, Penn reels, AllStar Rods, Fenwick, Abu Garcia, Spiderwire, Johnson, Powerbait and Stren), Motorguide, Oakley Eyewear, Power-Pole, Patagonia, Owner Hooks, Marsh Works Tackle and The Ships Chandler.
Eric lives in Pensacola, FL. with his wife , Tracy, and their four cats, Tigger, Bono, The Edge and Larry. He enjoys traveling the world, driving fast cars, Belize, great food and drink, U2 concerts, challenge and competition, cooking, surfing, animals, beach volleyball, tennis, table tennis and chilling with friends.
